The United Nations General Assembly proclaimed 2025 to be the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology. This year was chosen because, 100 years ago, quantum mechanics was developed.

The journal Physics Physique Fizika published a number of important articles on Quantum Science and Technology in the latter half of the 1960s. The American Physical Society (APS) has made these issues openly available if you would like to read through them.
